Cooperative Education, Politics and Art

Richard Hudson-Miles and Jackie Goodman are co-editing Cooperative Education, Politics and Art: Creative, Critical and Community Responses to Corporate Higher Education. This is due to be published by Routledge next year and will include a wide range of perspectives from contributors working within and beyond HEIs. To download the overview that gives further information about the publication please click on the link below.

Jackie and Richard would very much like to include the views of members of NAFAE, as the subject association for Fine Art education, and would like to invite you to either take part in an online 'round table' (max. 1hr) or respond by email to the questions below:

  • What questions are raised by alternative art schools for mainstream university art schools

  • Do you think there can be collaboration between alternative/mainstream art schools? If so, what shape might this take?

  • What role would the NAFAE have in such a collaboration?

  • How do we build a structure for valuing the breadth and richness of art education experiences

Jackie and Richard would massively value your input and will aim to take up as little of your time as possible.

At this stage, please contact Jackie Goodman at runningfox12@gmail.com to indicate if you are willing to contribute to either the online discussion or respond to the questions via email.

As the editors are working to a deadline for preparation of the final manuscript, it would be great if you would respond by Friday 6th October. All contributors will be acknowledged in the publication and we will circulate the transcript for comment before publication.
