INFE (International Network of Foundation Educators) invite you to attend The Foundation Course in Art and Design: A Celebration, a free online symposium that aims to capture the range, vitality, history and importance of our Foundation courses to wider art and design education.

The event will feature concise Pecha Kucha presentations from international contributors organised into 3 strands:

  • Foundation Now

  • Foundation Projects

  • Foundation Pedagogy

At the end of each strand, there will be the opportunity for questions and discussion on the issues raised. We encourage anyone engaged with Foundation courses to join us and contribute to these conversations on the day.

Speakers confirmed include: Magnus Quaife (Helsinki), Yutavia George (Paris), Jonathan Kelham (Bath), Geraldine Snell (London), Fatimah Tuggar (Florida), Duncan Cameron (Strode), Lucas Pandolfo (Paris), Paul Taylor (Carlisle), Amy Tidmarsh (Manchester), James Thompson (Leeds), Doug Bowen (Moscow), Natalie Moore (New York).

The current board of INFE includes: Joan Beadle (Manchester), Chloe Briggs (Paris), Sean Kaye (Moscow) and Joe Woodhouse (Sunderland). Towards the end of this event, we will outline our plans for INFE, inviting your ideas and participation moving forwards.
